A short transfer by public bus will bring us to Giglio Castello, the ancient hamlet of the island. After entering from the impressive gateway set in the imposing walls, we will browse the town center, preserving amazingly an ancient atmosphere. Walking along the paved roads we will appreciate all its characteristics following a tour between history and legend: the maze of tiny alleys, strategically used in the past to protect the population, the big public areas like Piazza XVIII Novembre, the balzuoli the traditional outdoor stairs, the Aldobrandi stronghold, the Church of San Pietro Apostolo with its unexpected treasures and the great cistern, prize for the courage of the inhabitants.

From Giglio Castello we will walk along one of the most gorgeous paths of the island, surrounded by the Mediterranean Scrub and the holm oaks, offering amazing panoramic views. Finally, we will reach Giglio Campese, the biggest beach of the island with its magnificent tower by the sea.
